Le Père Norbert va franchir une nouvelle étape dans son parcours médical : cette fois, il est prévu une chirurgie en vue d'un allongement du fémur gauche. L'opération sera réalisée à l'hôpital <<Pitié-Salpêtrière>> de Paris.

A la veille de son hospitalisation (23 mai 2014), le Père Norbert nous fait part de ses sentiments.

Tous ses amis, tous les lecteurs du blog, seront avec lui en pensées et en prières dans ces nouveaux moments difficiles et pendant les semaines qui suivront lorsque les kinésithérapeutes-orthopédistes assureront le suivi de l'opération pour obtenir un résultat final optimal.

RETOUR A L’HÔPITAL POUR LA CHIRURGIE D’ALLONGEMENT DU FEMUR GAUCHE

Chers amis et amies,

Décidée depuis le 16 Janvier 2014, la grande chirurgie est enfin programmée pour le 23 Mai 2014. Enfin, cette nouvelle, cette date, vient clore la longue attente et profiler ainsi l’espérance de retrouver 70 à 80 % de mobilité physique pour reprendre mon bâton de pèlerin où le Supérieur Général avec son Conseil, m’enverront.

C’est depuis le 23 Avril 2014 à 10h 30, que la nouvelle m’avait été annoncée par le secrétariat du service chirurgical de l’Hôpital Pitié-Salpêtrière Paris, service Orthopédie – Traumatologie. En même temps que l’annonce de la date pour l’intervention chirurgicale, un programme pour analyses et  examens médicaux, scanner et prévisions pratiques pour l’opération m’était annoncé. Il fallait prendre le plus tôt possible des rendez-vous car les résultats devaient parvenir au Chirurgien deux semaines avant l’intervention. Il fallait aussi s'y prendre tôt pour les formalités pratiques de l’admission à l’hôpital ainsi que celles avec l’Assistante Sociale du service Orthopédie – Traumatologie pour m’assurer une place dans une clinique de rééducation fonctionnelle étant donné que mon séjour à l’hôpital ne sera pas long.

BACK TO HOSPITAL FOR THE SURGERY OF THE THIGHBONES 

Dear friends,

Decided since 16^th January 2014, the major surgery is finally scheduled for May 23^rd 2014. At last, this news and date come to end the long period of waiting. It brings the hope of rediscovering 70 to 80 % of physical mobility after which I will be ready to take my staff as a pilgrim wherever the Superior General and his Council will send me.

It is since April 23^rd 2014 at 10.30 AM, that the news was announced to me by the surgical secretary of “La Pitié-Salpêtrière” hospital, the service of Orthopaedic and Traumatology. At the same time I was also informed about the surgical intervention, a programme for medical analysis and tests, scan and practical formalities for surgery. Appointments had to be arranged as soon as possible since the results were expected by the Surgeon two weeks before the surgery. It was also necessary to fulfil the practical formalities for the admission at the hospital and those with the Social Assistant of the service of Orthopaedic and Traumatology as soon as possible so as to secure a place in a clinic for the entire period of the physiotherapy as I will not stay for long at the hospital.
